Practice Strips - Gluing
Demonstrate to child how to gently squeeze glue bottle while aiming at the circle. When children are able to control glue to drop in the circles they are ready to move on to the lines. After glue has dried, show child how to move finger over the glue from left to right. Use the terms smooth and bumpy to describe the feelings as moving over the dots. Tracing the glued lines prepares the hand for writing.
Control of error: child sees glue is in or on the shape.
